About the Author

Born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Mike Johnston has had a long and notable career coaching hockey, including coaching and assistant coaching for the Vancouver Canucks in 1999, Canadas National Mens Team, the Canada Selects, Canadas 1998 Winter Olympics team, Canadas junior team, Team Canada at the World Championships from 1995 to 1998 and again in 2007 as well as the University of New Brunswick mens Varsity Reds hockey team, where he was 1994 coach of the year. Mike was an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Kings from 2006 to 2008 and is currently the head coach and general manager of the WHLs Portland Winter Hawks.

Ryan Walter played 15 seasons and over 1,000 games in the NHL. Drafted second overall by the Washington Capitals in 1978, he went on to win a Stanley Cup with the Montreal Canadiens and a World Championship medal with Team Canada. He finished his playing career with the Vancouver Canucks and was an assistant coach for the Canucks during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons. Ryan is an acclaimed international speaker and leadership trainer, entrepreneur and television broadcaster, and is committed to ""inspiring the hungry spirit.""

Este libro lo catalogo de magn�fico,lo recomiendo ampliamente,lo lei en espa�ol que es mi idioma,una traducci�n muy buena,una excelente trama urdida magistralmente,con giros inesperados y un final grandioso.Me encant�.

El primer libro que lei de este autor fue a mis 22 anios y me parecio lo maximo "Kane y Abel" y por ese recuerdo me anime a comprar este del Impostor... esta muy bien narrado como siempre por el autor, pero la trama ya se quedo muy atras en su estilo. El libro trata de una injusticia cometida a un tipo de lo mas integro y va a la carcel lo cual parece tener muy mala suerte, todo se le vino abajo y con el paso de solo 2 anios, salio de la carcel por un error y entonces la vida se le puso color de rosa, lo relaciono con la vida real, por que aveces asi pasa, todo cambia y se derrumba pero te lleva a algo mucho mejor al fin de cuentas. Me gusto que mientras describio la vida en la carcel fue muy sutil y no de la tipica forma con que siempre se refieren a este lugar en particular. Le puse 5 estrellas pq sigue siendo un buen escritor, solo que siento que su estilo ya que quedo en una epoca anterior.

Keith Eubank is Professor of History Emeritus, Queens College, City University of New York. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, he holds graduate degrees from Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania. Among the books he has written and edited are Paul Cambon: Master Diplomatist; Munich; The Summit Conferences, 1919-1960; The Road to World War II: A Documentary History; Summit at Teheran: The Untold Story; The Bomb; and The Cuban Missile Crisis. He is the co-author of Survey of Historic Costume and series editor of Harlan Davidson’s The European History Series.

What's really important...

This is really a great book. My copy is a mess because I've thumbed through it for so many years. People in the "helping professions" (and I'm counting myself here - a psych nurse - but also psychologists, social workers, counselors, etc) tend to get bogged down in the details of particular therapies. But ultimately, that is not what is really helpful. It's more about how you connect with that person you're helping. Can you really just stop and listen authentically and love another human being enough to do whatever is really helpful at that particular time? That's why I love this book. Even though I have moments of cynicism, I can pick up this book and become inspired again. The stories are very simple and sweet. It helps me remember that I can't help everyone but the ones I do...it's magical...it's like no more "helper" and "helpee"...just this amazingly connected human experience.

Possibly one of the worst wastes of money I have ever spent.

Useless!!! Not worth the $2.99 to buy it or the time it took me to read it. Most of the book is actually about the Echo and Echo Dot usage and what they can do and about what Alexa is and can do.

The part that is about "programming" contains nothing more than one would get by simply reading the basics in the AWS developer's site. No examples or help of any kind.

Possibly one of the worst wastes of money I have ever spent.

Nothing on programming the Alexa!

Misleading title - the book is largely a very superficial user guide to the Alexa service. There is a section on programming at the end, but it is again extremely superficial, and teaches nothing on how to actually program - just a few lines. No specific steps, not a single line of code, and does not even get to mention things like Intents, Slots etc - which is the core of programming the Alexa. Really - there are 4 mentions of 'intent' in the entire book, and 0 of slots. Come on! Super disappointed.
