Thoroughly enjoyed this intriguing tale

I really enjoyed this book! It is a mixture of genres – chick lit, mystery tale and psychological thriller, all with a South Asian vibe – and I now want to read Kishwar Desai's other two books starring Simran Singh. It was a little confusing in places as it jumps between times and places, but definitely worth persevering. The novel is set in and around India's burgeoning IVF and surrogacy industry so is thought-provoking as well as enjoyable.

I read Transpharmation is a way to look into how a very 'old school' industry is coming to terms with the 'new media' way of doing business. I'm all about brick 'n mortar to tech-savvy business owner and Sztar has done a great job in bridging that gap for the reader, while at the same time making the 'move', 'change', or whatever you want to call... it an easy to grasp possibility.

Although I'm not personally in the pharmacy industry, as an ex-brick 'n mortar business owner, turned tech-savvy entrepreneur, I know what works and what doesn't. This book covers you, and more.

About the Author

Jonathan Wilkenfeld is Professor of Government and Politics, and Director of the ICONS Simulation Project at the University of Maryland, USA. He was a founder with Michael Brecher of the International Crisis Behavior Project. His research and writing has addressed conflict and crisis, negotiation and mediation, with regional foci in the Middle East and China. His recent research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Homeland Security, and by the Folke Bernadotte Academy (Sweden). His recent books include Peace and Conflict 2014 (with David Backer and Paul Huth), International Negotiation in a Complex World (4th edition, with Brigid Starkey and Mark Boyer), and Mediating International Crises (with Kathleen Young, David Quinn, and Victor Asal).

seems like a great buy

At first glance, seems like a great buy. Learn how to use different kanji for the situation hand. But then, realize after buying it, no explaination sometimes when only two or more kanji are listed, without any explanation differentiating them!?
In these cases, you know there are alternatives, but you must look up the differences in another dictionary.
My copy is sitting unused as a result.

• Part VIII: Organizational Information Systems. This part expands on the management information system chapter to describe how the MIS concept has been applied to subsets of the organization. Chapter 32, Executive Information Systems, explains computer use at the top organizational level. The other chapters explain computer use in five major functional areas. Five organizational subsystems, which represents each major functional areas -- marketing, manufacturing, finance, human resources, and information services -- of the firm, are explored in this part.
• Appendices include detailed abbreviation and acronyms, glossary, and references.

Waste of time and money

This book was not written by George Lucas, or at least not THE George Lucas. This is garbage. If a fourth grader wanted to write a screenplay, he might find this book useful. It has tips such as "watch out for sharks" and give the first draft to someone else to review. There is nothing in this book that's relevant to an aspiring screenwriter. Just more self-published get-rich-quick trash.

This is written in such a way that takes the instruction down to the nubs. I was the Director of the Las Vegas Screenwriters Conference long ago.

It always drove me nuts when people would make screenwriting too complicated. This book tells you how to navigate your life and do's and don'ts. In a short time, it gave me my creative juices once again.
