I must admit that this is my second time reading this author's work but it definately won't be my last. I love this series. I love the way the author weaves everyone's life into the two main characters' which causes them to interact with each other in some very hot ways.... The ending always have you right at the edge of your seat and then bam...it's over. Please hurry and pin the next part. I CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER 3 WEEKS!!!

Ok so now I do get it because b4 I was like what the heck & I thought story just ended didn't know when next book was coming out . I still wish u would just write a story about Chloe & Patrick & throw a sequel or 2 in there instead of these short but excellently written bites!! I do like ur writing style & I will buy next book I would like to know just how many do u plan to write ??

I currently do not have any e-reader other than my iPhone which I hate to read on. I started book one and immediately bought book two. I never even noticed that I was reading on a tiny screen because I was so caught up in the story. I am SO impatient which will make waiting three weeks for more Chloe and Patrick difficult!

Very cool (if you love history)

This is a collection of documents that were written on Egyptian temples all translated in english and just has so many very interesting documents some that I have never heard of and others that I have heard of but have only had small portions of them in history books. It was a required book for a history class but I will be keeping it because it gives you much more insight into the lives and laws of early civilizations. Amazing laws and documents that before 1500BCE you may think that they only existed in much later time periods. Interesting insights into the people and the detail of record keeping that some culutres had. If you love history of this era it is a must have.

Got for a class. Pretty interesting anecdotes. This book is mostly selected texts/stories from ancient texts. Has some back-story and info on the context. I can't see this being very informative in a stand-alone setting, seems to be intended to be used along with other textbooks, aid in lectures, or as homework to supplement other lectures (which is what it was used for in my class.)

Poor eBook Implementation

I have the Kindle version. Very difficult to look up a surgery. The table of contents contains too many repetitions of headings like diagnosis, definitions, prognosis... repeatedly listed over and over. No human helped to set the ebook version or edit it. There is an index to make up for poor table of contents. Very expensive for a poor implementation of a good hardcover.

A must have if you want to be a vet surgeon

For me this is one of the best books concerning everything that comes before surgery, during and after surgery. This book is well illustrated and it makes it easier to understand the content. This book is easy to read, even though it is pretty thorough, it's not one of those books which makes you exhausted from reading.
It came in excellent condition, still wrapped in plastic from the distributor.

Fossum is easy to read and navigate. It is an excellent text for the veterinary hospital, no matter what stage of your training. I enjoy the step-by-step instructions and the anesthesia protocols. And the ophthalmology section is a great resource for common eye surgeries.

IF YOU BUY ONLY ONE STAR ATLAS, GET THIS ONE!

Looks small and unimpressive, but WOW! By far the most useful single sky guide I've found. What makes it special? First, the trick of showing additional detail and fainter stars for only selected areas of the sky, along with full-sky coverage of brighter stars...if you use binoculars or a telescope to hunt down faint objects, you will see lots of faint stars too, and showing them on the charts is a big help to orient you. Second, the scaling of the charts and of the plotted stars is unusually well matched to what you actually see through binoculars or a telescope at low power, making it easy to match your eyepiece view to what the chart shows. (Indeed, I find it superior to either the Sky Atlas 2000.0 or Uranometria--much larger and more expensive charts--in that regard.) Third, the format of listing interesting objects with associated data on pages facing each map is very useful and convenient. Fourth, the inclusion of hundreds of NGC objects besides the full Messier list makes this a reference that a beginner will not soon outgrow, and a veteran will continue to find it useful through the years. Fifth, the information regarding the types of instruments needed to view each object (small binoculars, large binos, small scope, medium scope) is the most accurate and practical I've seen. Sixth, it's so portable you can take it out on every viewing session--it even fits into a binocular case. Downside? Only that so few dealers carry it! ...and you've found one here. Good work, Amazon.

The best of both worlds

I shopped & researched long and hard before I bought a new star atlas. I paged through every one I could find, but I had never seen this one in-person. All of the glowing online reviews sold me - and I ordered it. Initially I was disappointed. However, the more I looked through it - and evaluated its contents - my opinion change for the positive.
It's handy & convenient (small sized & nice for use at the scope). It details stars to magnitude 6 (naked eye limit is 5.2 - 6.0). The book includes detailed insets on each chart detailing stars to magnitude 9 (a magnitude limit only found in the "big boy" atlases). And I found the data tables - opposite each page's chart - concise yet informative.
Drawbacks: sometimes it's too small (one cannot get a "regional feel"). Sometimes it's annoying that a constellation or "region" of the sky is split over two different charts (because the charts are organized in "sidereal time", e.g. Andromeda is Chart "N0" but Pegasus is chart "E23"; Ursa Major is chart "N8" and "N10").
Is there a perfect star atlas? Unfortunately, "No". But this little guide has a little of everything for the amateur astronomer. If you're comet hunting, well ... buy an atlas like the Herald-Bobroff . But for the armchair astronomer up to the amateur with an 4"-8" telescope, this little atlas fills a niche that wasn't completely filled before it came along. And when used with other aids in the field - like a good planisphere for that "regional feel" - it's extremely valuable.
Some of you very serious observers might need another, larger atlas for reference and/or desk use. However, you can't go wrong with this little book. Call it a professional atlas that's been on a strict diet. Lean & mean. Someday you might find this little book on one of those "sandwich commercials" - look out Jared :))
P.S.: This atlas deserves at least a 4-star rating; it could easily be a 5-star rating depending upon the user's need(s).

A very handy field book for the non-novice

I looked forward very much to getting this book. I had a copy of the first edition and lost it on a trip to Chile. Among the several atlases I own, I found this one to be the most convenient for general observing. When I received the new edition, I was at first, disappointed. The older edition was printed on glossy paper that resisted moisture very well while using it in the field and the new version is not. Nevertheless, it is still printed on good paper and may hold up well. Time will tell. One of the other things I liked so much about the older version was the pocket size, and the new edition is about an inch larger in both directions. Again, it is still more handy than a hardbound book like the "Cambridge" or "Norton" atlases. Neither is it so thick that it is difficult to hold open like the "Peterson's" guides.
After examining the contents I saw that the added size was put to good advantage. The same basic charts are there from the first edition, but just a little larger in scale. And now there is quite a bit more information packed on the opposing pages that describe the objects to be viewed. Binary or multiple stars with significant relative motions are plotted so that you can see how the relationship will change over the next 20 years. A visual plot is given of the position angle of these stars rather than just a number. Little thermometers indicate the relative temperatures of each component to give an idea of the color difference to be expected. For regular variable stars a small waveform is often included that describes the period and change in brightness of the star. A set of symbols is now used to describe the ease of visibility of objects and objects with low surface brightness are noted using the same symbols. Several other columns have been added that are to assist in finding an object on the adjacent chart and to identify its magnitude. Although I did not find these particularly useful, others may.
At the beginning of the book there is a chart that I do not remember from the first edition that describes how natural and man-made light pollution affects the view of objects and shows how many objects can be seen under what conditions. All together the books positive changes balance the negative ones nicely. It will still be my first choice at the telescope. One negative that might exist for users new to the sky is that now there may be too much information on each page. I do not think that will be a problem for most. Thanks for the new edition!

A Very Enjoyable Story

Sisters making love, how nasty. Twin sisters making love even nastier. I wasn't sure if this story would work but the author does a wonderful job. The sisters, Hailey and Paige, cross over to the forbidden side. And you think it's going to end right there but the story goes on and on.

The girls have multiple encounters each one hotter than the last. But it also feels quite natural. And the girls don't lose their interest in boys. Gee, why don't all twin sisters do this? The author does a wonderful job - of thoroughly exploring the topic. Enjoy.

Comprehensive nearly beyond belief

Just when you start to despair that it's just another collection of artfully rendered liveries--and there are a *lot* of artfully rendered liveries in this volume--finally, finally we get inside the aircraft, get into the cockpit, see some archival shots of cabins and passengers. Be advised that this doesn't occur until after the 100 page point, so exercise patience.

Translated, often hilariously, occasionally cryptically, from the original French. Why there wasn't better English copy editing is a mystery, since the heft and print quality of the book is substantial. If you had but one 707 book to take with you and live with forever, this would be it.

One of the best aircraft monographs ever done

If you have any interest in either civil or military aviation or aircraft of the past fifty years, please do yourself a huge favor and buy this book! It is one of the most thorough, interesting monographs on a very special aircraft. The Boeing 707 not only was the plane that truly ushered in commercial jet transportation as we know it today (and most of today's airliners still only have similar performances to this 50 year old wonder, but are quieter and with greater range, and lower fuel burn capabilities).

Not only is every model that ever existed described but likely illustrated with contemporary photos and wonderful artwork. The latter shows each variant in many different airline colors (the civil ones) and the military versions, which were vital in keeping this country free -- and I do not exaggerate -- and defensively prepared, are shown in all their glory. Their markings are representative of different times during their half-century, much varied careers.

All statistics, development history and personages associated with the development of these two look-alike, but truly different, aircraft are presented herein.

At Amazon's amazing price, this volume is indeed one of the best buys I've ever seen in a half century of collecting aircraft books, and this is indeed one of the best volumes ever. DO NOT MISS IT!

husband like the book, a whole lotta pictures

DH is an aerospace engineer and admirer of planes of all sort. He was interested in this subject and enjoyed the book. He said it was dry but had exactly the info he was looking for. Also, the written portion has some grammatical errors and typos but it does not detract from the information.
To me, it is a beautifully illustrated hardback with hundreds of pages of pictures of different version of this plane. Fantastic coffee table material - you know, for an aero guy. :)
